Portchester Methodist Church

Our Town
Portchester is a small town between Fareham and Portsmouth. It has its own castle, which is open to visitors and which was once part of the defences for Portsmouth Harbour. The town sits on the north of Portsmouth harbour and some parts of the town offer fine views over the whole of the harbour. Above the town to the north is Portsdown Hill with its Victorian forts that were built to defend Portsmouth Naval Base from an attack by the French, but never saw action. One of these forts, Fort Nelson, is now a museum and is open to the public.
Our church is situated in Castle Street very close to the town’s shopping centre.Picture1
